Well, you've come to the right page.
General Offer:

I'm
offering two hours of my time at a location of your choosing using
natural lighting or professional lighting provided by me.

The subject can be anything you want photographed, portrait, pet,
boudoir, still life, auction items, real estate, maybe guests at a
party...use your imagination!

The time can be used just for photographing or can be divided so
that I can edit select images for that special finished quality. If
you only need a couple of images then most of the time can be spent
making those images extra special. You choose. The normal format
would be:
- Set up equipment
- Take pictures
- Transfer images to laptop
- Select images for editing
- Break down equipment
- Edit images
- Burn CD

I
am willing to travel almost anywhere within Santa Cruz County with
other areas requiring extra travel costs.

At
the end I transfer all the images taken along with any edited images
to CD. I can also format all or some of the images for printing. Or
upload them to a lab and
have them prints sent to you (Of course you would need to pay the print and
shipping costs).

In
addition I am offering a "satisfaction guarantee". If the images
aren't what you want then you pay nothing!
You
get all this for $100 cash!
Below are the details (probably
more than you need but I want to make sure you know what I'm offering).

Initial Cost and Extra Costs:

$100 is
for two hours of my time not including travel time within most of
Santa Cruz County (if you live back in the hills contact me to find
out if it will cost extra)

If you
don't need two hours of my time I also offer one hour packages at
$75
-
Extra
time can be provided (if my schedule is open) at $50/hour in
increments of 30 minutes.

For
locations outside my travel area I charge travel time at half of my extra time
price .
So if it takes 30 minutes to get to your location from my travel area that is actually $25
since it is an hour extra travel time (to and from).

For
formatting images for printing and then having the prints sent to
you the only charge is for the cost of the prints and shipping
costs. Of course if the formatting and uploading takes longer than
the initial two hours I ask that you pay for my time. I will
probably have to do this when I get back to my office unless I have
internet access on site.

As noted
elsewhere this offer does not cover most commercial use of the
images I create. Please contact me for a quote on commercial use of
my images.

The flat fee is for jobs that
don't require a circus performer to get the shot. :-) Please let me
know if the situation requires certain physical or mental stamina.

The "Satisfaction Guarantee"
I have
confidence in my abilities and that you will like the images I create.
Which is why I am making this offer. That being said, I'm kind of worried
about abuse of this offer so this may change depending on how it goes.
Here's what I ask of you:

Please let me
know as early as possible if you have any doubts of the success of the
shoot. I will try to adapt to your needs if I can. If I've already shot
the images you will start to get an idea of what things will look like
once you see the images. However editing can make a BIG difference.
Please ask me if you have your doubts. The earlier I know this isn't
going to work the more time it will save for both of us.

Please be
fair in your judgment of my work. In my experience there is always
self-criticism in seeing yourself in pictures. Ask yourself, "How do
these images compare with others I have seen of similar subjects?"

Your satisfaction is mainly
dependent upon me understanding what you want. The more information
you give to me concerning your wants and needs the better chance you
will be satisfied with the results.

You should understand that, if
you are not satisfied, you do not get any of the images.
Other Information
-
This
offer is for digital images taken of the subject of your choice. You
have the right to use these images for your personal requirements
(e.g. sharing with others, web usage of a personal nature, etc.). In
addition, in most cases, I will allow the images to be used for
restricted business uses (e.g. auction items, images for a small
business website, business cards and brochures)

What is
not covered within this offer is the commercial use of the images
(see above for exceptions). This means re-sale of the images or
their rights, distribution of the image across many web locations or
other media forms and any other method of utilizing an image outside
of personal and small business use. It is best to describe your
planned usage of the image if you have any doubts as to whether or
not this limitation applies.

I retain
the rights to use the images for advertising of my business and my
portfolio as well as credit and copyrights. If there are images that
you feel are too personal in nature to be used in this format let's
talk about it. I can understand this and can limit which images I
use. I want you to feel safe using my services.

Once you contact me for
information or to request a shoot I will most likely have more
questions for you concerning the nature and requirements of the
shoot. The more information you can give the easier it is for me to
provide what you want.
My Photographic Info
-
Since my
normal work is fine art photography I also can mount and mat your
images for an additional fee. Please ask if you are interested.

The two
hours I offer can be spent in any fashion you choose, all shooting,
mostly editing select images, etc. You need to understand that any
setup or breakdown of equipment is part of that time.

I prefer natural lighting
scenarios if available. In most cases I can edit them so that they
are as effective as at least single source pro lighting. However pro
flash and lighting is available if necessary or preferred. Just keep
in mind that setup and breakdown times will need to be accounted
for.

If shooting product I do have
light tents for glare reduction.
-
If you want to produce
specific size prints I can make sure and crop your images
accordingly. Just let me know beforehand.

Images that are to be printed
can be formatted accordingly but, unless I am submitting them for
printing, I cannot guarantee color and brightness of the images
unless I have the appropriate printer profile. This is a file
associated with a particular photo printer so that color correction
is done to maintain a true printing of the colors I see on my
computer screen.

From the limited viewpoint of
inside my head I see my images as capturing more than just what is
on the outside of a person, pet, place or object. I look to include
a certain glint of the eye, cock of the head or texture and shape of
an object to bring out hints of more of the soul of the subject.
That is what I strive to do with any project I take on.

In limited cases I may be
agreeable to doing a trade for services (TFS). Please contact me and
we can talk.

of volunteer work. Contact me to see if I match your needs and am

While I have taken photographs
for weddings in the past I prefer not to do wedding photography.
-
I try to use what is available
to make the shot. This may mean adapting the shot to the
surroundings. I will always try to give you the choice as to whether
or not this is acceptable.

I tend to shoot "darker"
images (meaning they are underexposed). This avoids loss of
highlight detail, but does normally require editing to make the
image "pop". If you are planning to use the images unedited let me
know and I can make the exposures brighter while shooting.

stopwatch, but I will try to keep within a quarter of an hour of the
time allotted

try to get as much information from you concerning your wants and
needs in order to have the right equipment on hand as well as to set
your expectations appropriately
